Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saran Sarntisart is a distinguished economist and academic, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Development Economics, The National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Bangkok, Thailand. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Australian National University (ANU) and a Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) certification from the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF), Malaysia.

With expertise spanning development economics, financial economics, and Islamic finance, Dr. Saran has contributed extensively to the field through teaching, research, and advisory roles. He has authored numerous publications in high-impact journals, addressing critical topics such as economic inequality, education's role in economic development, and the effects of financial policies on regional growth.

Dr. Saran has also played pivotal roles in various academic and advisory committees, including the Shariah Advisory Committee for the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives and the Centre for Muslim World Policies at Chulalongkorn University. His academic leadership includes serving as Associate Dean for Administration and Director of the Master’s in Financial Economics program at NIDA.
